1. Introduction
These Terms govern your use of Rafiki Bureau de Change's digital services, including our website, mobile applications, and portals. By registering an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. Corporate accounts must be opened by an authorised representative with valid documentation.
3. Account Registration & KYC
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to complete KYC verification. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that fail to meet our compliance requirements.
4. Exchange Rates
Exchange rates are displayed live and are subject to change. When you submit a transaction, the rate is locked for 15 minutes. If payment is not received within this window, the transaction may be repriced at Rafiki's discretion.
5. Settlement
Settlement occurs after payment is verified and required approvals are obtained. Same-day settlement applies to verified transactions submitted during business hours. Future-dated settlements are scheduled as instructed.
6. Fees
Applicable fees are displayed before you confirm any transaction. Rafiki reserves the right to adjust fees with prior notice.
7. Cancellation & Reversal
You may cancel a transaction before payment verification. Once settled, reversal is only possible by management approval with documented reason.
8. Anti-Money Laundering
We comply fully with the Bank of Tanzania's AML/CFT regulations. We may request additional documentation, report suspicious transactions, or freeze accounts pending investigation.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the affected transaction. We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, regulators, or events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy governs how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using our services, you consent to these practices.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dar es Salaam.
